Next Meeting:

In order to reduce the risk of infectious contact we have decided to cancel our pictureNow monthly meetings for at least a few months. We’ll resume when the coronavirus epidemic has subsided.

We want to keep in touch though, and we are looking at ways of having virtual meetings in place of real ones. We are considering WhatsApp and Skype of course, but if you have any other suggestions do let Tracy or Malcolm know either directly or via the pictureNow email. We’ll keep you posted on this.

In the meantime we are still planning to hold our exhibition at the Ideas Hub in Chelmsford library during July 2020 so we still want members to work towards this with 2 to 3 images from each active member. Each image will have a mask overlay revealing a small section of the image. The viewer lifts the mask to see the whole photograph. The idea is for the partial image to say one thing and the whole image to say something else. This may be as simple as “what is it?” then “Ah I see!” but it would be good to go beyond this to pose different questions & answers or show images within images.

We hope you stay well but if you do get the virus that it is only mild for you.

Exhibition Programme

We have 1 exhibitions in 2020:

  • July: Ideas Hub, Chelmsford Library

pictureNow meetings

Although we have suspended meetings during the coronavirus epidemic, in normal times we meet informally at monthly intervals on the first Monday of the month. The venue is usually a pub in the Chelmsford area. We’ll let you know via the Newsletter (subscribe here), the Web site and Facebook when and where the next meeting will be and if you fancy coming along for a photographic conflab you’ll be very welcome.

We look forward to seeing you in the future!

  1. Hi! My son is just about to start A2 photography and is interested in coming along on 3rd July for the surrealism talk…is it ok to just turn up? What’s the deal?
